As the standards and procedures developed by MusiQuE are meant to answer the constantly changing needs of higher music education institutions and of the artistic profession, it is crucial that they are revised regularly.
An increasing amount of institutions has approached MusiQuE for the organisation of review procedures in the past months.
MusiQuE has taken over from AEC the (affiliate) memberships of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and the European Alliance for Subject-Specific and Professional Accreditation and Quality Assurance (EASPA). The AEC has been an affiliate member of ENQA since January 2011 and a founding member of EASPA.
MusiQuE has been developing a framework for the evaluation of artistic research units in higher music education institutions over the past months.
MusiQuE has signed a formal cooperation agreement with ZEvA, the Zentrale Evaluations und Akkreditierungsagentur, Hannover, and the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe for a (re-) accreditation review of eleven Bachelor and Master programmes.
In order to be able to conduct accreditation procedures independently in various European countries, MusiQuE needs to be recognised by and listed on the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR).
Each year the composition of the MusiQuE Board is renewed.
MusiQuE has issued and open call to collect suggestions for revision of the MusiQuE standards and procedures.
