Two reviews have been conducted so far this year. In January 2026, MusiQuE carried out a Programme Accreditation Review of the Master of Arts in Sound of Arts and Creative Music Technology at Musikhochschule Lübeck in Germany. At the beginning of March, MusiQuE concluded an online Programme Accreditation review at the Faculty of Music and Musicology of Université Antonine in Lebanon, under challenging circumstances. Originally planned as an in-person visit, the review was adapted to an online format due to the escalation of the conflict in the region.

MusiQuE Peer Reviewers also participated in three site visits in March in Portugal at Universidade do Minho in Braga, Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco, and Universidade de Évora. They joined efforts with A3ES experts in music education to conduct the accreditation of these programmes aiming at enhancing their quality from a subject-specific and international perspective.

Several Critical Friend visits have taken place, including at Malmö Academy of Music (focusing on the area of quality assurance, in February) and at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague (Composition department in March and Classical Music department in February). In addition, consultative visits were carried out at Anton Bruckner Private University (Linz, Austria), where two experts visited the Theory and History department in March.

MusiQuE has also finalised the review of the College of Music at Mahidol University and granted an accreditation to all their programmes (BM, MA, MM, DM, and PhD). All MusiQuE review reports are publicly available here.

MusiQuE is currently coordinating and preparing several accreditation and quality enhancement procedures in Poland, Sweden, and Switzerland. These include:

  • Institutional Acreditation at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, Poland
  • Programme Quality Enhancement Review at Malmö Academy of Music, Sweden
  • Programme Quality Enhancement Review at Haute École de la Suisse Occidentale (HES-SO), Switzerland

In parallel, MusiQuE continues its quality enhancement activities, including upcoming Critical Friend visits at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory (Singapore). Ongoing work also includes the evaluation of the IN.TUNE Alliance project, Orpheus Institute (Belgium) and the European Music Council (EMC), and the review of micro-credentials at the Cello Academy Zutphen (Netherlands).
