The composition of the MusiQuE Board is regularly renewed, with Board members appointed for a three-year-period.

Mist Thorkelsdottir (University of Southern California, Thornton School of Music) left the Board at the end of 2016. Mist’s contributions to the Board (2014-2016) and to the former AEC Quality Enhancement Committee (2011-2014) have been crucial to the establishment of MusiQuE and to its development in its first years of operation as an independent evaluation agency. The MusiQuE Board and Staff would like to express their deep gratitude to Mist for her commitment and work.

Bernd Clausen (University of Music Würzburg) has been appointed as the new Board member based on the recommendation of the AEC Council to the MusiQuE Board (recommendation endorsed by the AEC General Assembly in November 2016). Thanks to Bernd’s experience with various accreditation procedures and his involvement in the Competencies Network for Quality Management and Learning Development of German Music Universities, Bernd’s profile will be an excellent addition to the Board’s current composition.
