Indeed, due to the numerous challenges and obstacles outlined in this paper, many higher (music) education institutions cannot freely work with an EQAR registered agency of their choice, even when this is formally allowed. This prevents them from undergoing a review that would confirm their quality from an international perspective and enhance their reputation worldwide.

MusiQuE offers recommendations to the European Commission, to the Bologna Thematic Peer Group C (TPG C) on Quality Assurance, and to EQAR on ways in which these issues could be overcome.
