This year, MusiQuE celebrates its 10th anniversary! Since its establishment in 2014 as an independent Quality Assurance Agency, MusiQuE has been dedicated to enhancing the quality of higher music education. Over the past decade, MusiQuE conducted over 60 reviews, making meaningful contributions to the quality of higher music education across 23 countries in Europe and beyond.

MusiQuE will be celebrating its anniversary in various ways throughout 2024. The first event was a MusiQuE Peer Reviewers Training Workshop held for the first time outside of Europe. Hosted in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, as a pre-congress event of the SEADOM congress, this workshop represented a significant achievement for MusiQuE, expanding its global reach and fostering cross-cultural collaboration.

From 6th to 7th March 2024, MusiQuE welcomed a diverse group of participants coming from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia. This workshop underscored MusiQuE’s commitment to building bridges beyond European borders and proved to be an enriching experience for both MusiQuE and participants, cultivating cultural understanding and exploration of innovative educational approaches.

In addition, during the SEADOM Congress, MusiQuE representatives held a session on the work of MusiQuE, presented the MusiQuE Standards and discussed with the attendees the relevance of MusiQuE and of its Standards to the Southeast Asian context.
