On 2nd September, 2022 MusiQuE took part in the 11th edition of ANMATalks: Quality enhancement in higher music education: Need a Critical Friend?, organised by the Association of Nordic Academies of Music to present the Critical Friend review and share perspectives on how this approach to quality enhancement is embedded in the context of Nordic countries.
MusiQuE representatives introduced the figure of Critical Friend and invited representatives to share their experiences from the point of view of the visited institution.
The speakers’ panel was formed by Martin Prchal (Vice-Principal) and Eva van Ingen (student) from Royal Conservatoire (KC) The Hague), and Linda Messas (MusiQuE Director). The online event was moderated by Orla McDonagh (MusiQuE Board member and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at TU Dublin)
Members of the audience also participated in the discussion at the end of the session, including MusiQuE Peer Reviewers who have taken part as Critical Friends in MusiQuE procedures.
